McQ over at QandO does a fantastic job on trying to determine who exactly are the two men representing the Democratic ticket.
Take John Edwards (please!). He’s a freshman Senator who’s held no other elective office … none. He’s held one political office since 1999 and that’s the seat of the junior Senator from North Carolina. During his tenure as Senator, below are his total list of “accomplishments”:
74 bills, NONE of which has emerged from Committee for a floor vote. 78 amendments, 23 of which passed the Senate. 6 resolutions, 4 of which passed the Senate. No legislation Edwards has been lead sponsor on has become law.
This is a great piece of reporting and it is a must-read. I would like to add that John Edwards does have great hair, and that’s a trait that I admire greatly.
