Iraqi Terrorist Group Threatens Denmark

Filed under: Terrorism by Chad at 10:51 am CST

Evan Kohlmann at The Counterterrorism Blog reports The Mujahideen Army in Iraq has issued a communique threatening attacks in Denmark and Norway over the series of cartoons appearing in a Danish newspaper.

“…We, along with the rest of the world, have observed the offensive and harmful blasphemy against the blessed messenger Mohammed. This wrongdoing was perpetrated by several institutions from the promiscuous countries Denmark and Norway who secretly hate Islam and its leaders… Settling for [merely] boycotting these cowards is a position of weakness that is indicative of a feeble nation that does not stand up in defense of its Prophet and the principles that it believes in. They started [the battle] and they should suffer its consequences. We call upon all our brigades in the Mujahideen Army to attack whatever they possibly can in these two countries specifically, and in other countries who repeat what they have done… Let us make our own efforts on top of Allah’s expected revenge—and hopefully, Allah will choose us to be among those who seek revenge for Mohammed in his name, as this in itself is a great honor for a Muslim.”

All this over some stupid cartoons.

  1. […] Earlier today I took a light hearted look at supporting Denmark. Chad Evans examines the serious side of this story here, here, and here. In one post he has this observation. The Danish cartoons, and the aftermath they have created started by the Saudi ban of Danish goods, demonstrate to the world that is watching there is a double standard to religion. This double standard enables Muslims to ridicule all other religions, including calling Judaism evil, but you cannot say anything that might be perceived as derogatory to Islam. The two cartoons which seem to have sparked the most outrage (the one depicted above and another showing Mohammed as a “knife-wielding terrorist”) seem to question the role of religion in terms of radical Islamic terrorism, something I don’t know why good Muslims aren’t questioning more of. Instead of either questioning whether Mohammed’s message to the world was that it’s perfectly fine to murder infidels and apostates was written in stone or misconstrued over the years, an infidel drawing a satirical look at how Mohammed’s message from Allah is currently being interpreted has drawn the ire of thousands of Muslims. Muslims want us all to believe that their Muhammad is so special that no image can be made of him. For many if not most non-Muslims, the only thing special about Muhammad is that he serves as the wellspring of world wide terrorism that began long befor…

Today I learned that muslim rebels in Iraq have issued a Fatwa against the Danish troops who are there as Denmark’s contribution to the Coalition. This shouldn’t really surprise anyone, as the issuing of Fatwas seems to be the standard answer to anything the muslims don’t like.

In honour of this latest Fatwa I have taken it upon myself to issue a Fatwa of my own.

I hereby decree that due to my blatantly apparent moral and ethical superiority to the Islamic extremists the following orders shall be carried out.

All Danish companies shall hire muslims only to carry out the most demeaning and trivial of tasks, and only if such tasks are rewarded with a low salary.

All Danish Universities and places of higher learning shall only accept one in a hundred muslims, and let even fewer graduate.

The Danish Police and Danish Courts shall arrest and convict muslims in such a number as to make them disproportionately represented in the various crime statistics (Sometimes by a ratio so disproportionate that they will be more than 1000 times more likely to commit certain crimes than native Danes)

The Danish Population shall treat muslims with contempt wherever they encounter them, leaving them to feel isolated both socially and economically.

So let it be written, so let it be done. My every command shall be carried out.

Wow, my Fatwa is already working….
