According to the Guardian, there has been global outcry over the Taliban using a 12 year-old boy to behead an alleged spy. That’s great, it really is, but how about having a repeated global outcry over the Taliban continuing to behead and slaughter Pakistanis living in the Waziristan region to instill fear among the populace using the same trumped-up charges of spying?
The Taliban’s use of a young boy to behead a man drew international criticism yesterday, with Unicef condemning the incident as “a terrible example of how children can be used by adults to commit heinous crimes in times of conflict” . . .
Unicef noted that the use of children under 15 years of age during a conflict is a war crime under international law.
So too is beheading innocent civilians and fighting without proper identification, but neither issue ever seems to rankle the good folks at Unicef or any other organization. It’s the boy they say, and I agree, but have you even once heard Unicef condemn the other child abuse that goes on by Islamists?

Alex, thanks for the note, but I am not Israeli. Further, as the readers here can attest to, I am also neither smart nor funny.
